You’ve always known who you are
I just help you see past the masking
NARRATIVE ARCHEOLOGIST
Robin E. S. Carter PhD
You’ve almost forgotten
For years or possibly decades, you’ve been adapting, performing, and trying to fit into spaces that weren’t designed for minds like ours. You’ve become so skilled at being who others expect that you’ve almost forgotten who you are. Almost.
You need to remember
The truth is, your authentic self has been there all along - hidden in plain sight within your life stories, your choices, and your patterns. You don’t need to be fixed, coached, or transformed. You need to remember.
Your life all along
I’m a narrative archaeologist who helps accomplished neurodivergent women excavate the wisdom buried in their own experiences, Through Story Mapping sessions, we dig through your pivotal moments to uncover the brilliant, consistent thread of authenticity that’s been running through your life all along.
This isn’t therapy or coaching
Snapshot
I spent decades wondering why I felt like I was performing in a play I’d never auditioned for. Corporate environments, social situations, even family gatherings - everywhere I went, I was translating myself into acceptable versions, exhausting myself in the process.
The day I finally understood I was neurodivergent and began analyzing my stories with this len , everything clicked into place. Not just about my present, but about every story from my past. Suddenly, all those moments that felt like failures or oddities revealed themselves as evidence of my authentic self trying to break through.
Credentials that matter
I earned my PhD in leadership while lone parenting four daughters and navigating corporate environments that weren’t built for minds like ours. Those years taught me as much about what doesn’t work for neurodivergent women as any research study ever could. At 59, I’ve stopped caring what others think I should be doing. This freedom allows me to see clearly - both my own patterns and yours.
My philosophy
I don’t believe you need to be fixed, coached, transformed. You need to remember who you’ve always been beneath the layers of adaptation. Your stories already contain all the wisdom you needed - my job is simply to help you set it.
At 59, I’ve lived long enough to know that authenticity isn’t just nice to have, it’s essential for survival. I’ve see what happens when we spend decades performing versions of ourselves that aren’t real. I’ve also experienced the profound relief of finally coming home to who I actually am.
Why now matters
What makes this different
I‘m not here to give you answers or strategies. I’m here to help you excavate the answers you already have but can’t see because society taught you to look away from them. This isn’t about becoming someone new - it’s about recognizing who you’ve always been.
Ongoing journey
I’m still figuring this out too. The difference is, I’m no longer pretending I have all it all figured out. This shared humanity - this mutual recognition that we’re all works in progress - is what makes the detective work so powerful.
I help you spot the blind spots that years of masking have created so you can finally see the patterns that reveal who you’ve always been.
This isn’t coaching. It’s detective work.
You already have all the answers you need. They’re encoded in your stories - the decisions that felt right despite others’ doubts, the moments you surprised yourself, the times you chose authenticity over approval.
