✦ Depth is not delay: 033

You have been misread your whole life. The pause before you speak was called hesitation. The time you needed to think was called slowness. The way you had to sit with something before you could act on it was called indecision. And because the world around you moved faster than you did, you internalized the verdict: something was wrong with your pace.
Nothing was wrong with your pace.
Depth is not a delay. It is a different route to a more honest destination. The person who answers immediately is not thinking more clearly - they are thinking less. The person who needs three days to know how they feel is not behind. They are arriving somewhere real. Speed produces the first available answer. Depth produces the true one. The world rewarded the former and called it intelligence. It was always just convenience dressed up as virtue.
You were never slow. You were thorough. There is a difference, and it is everything.
