Any new year brings with it a sense of celebration and accomplishment. I got through another year. Reflections combined with new beginnings. Most visualize the new year transition as either linear or cyclical. But, what about the moment?
Living in the moment is about removing over thinking and not worrying about checking off every item on your to do list. Those who truly live in the moment don’t live in fear and experience more freedom.
For me, being in the moment means my mind stops racing. I can enjoy not just making a cup of coffee, but also enjoy simply walking to the kitchen to make that cup of coffee. It is as if the concept of time seems human made.
Q: Does living in the moment mean one is less ambitious or doesn’t have goals?
My answer goes back to removing fear and finding more freeedom. People who don’t live in fear are happier and more focused. This aligns with having ambitious goals and the ability to apply laser focus on achieving them. Living in the moment brings clarity, comfort, and peace.
“I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.”
“It is fruitless to wish you had started years ago. In the future you will wish you had started today.”
“Stress is a sign that you’ve lost the present moment, the next moment has become more important than life itself.”
